Marywood University, Library & Learning Commons Dedication

September 8th marked Marywood University’s Centennial Celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the new $35 million Learning Commons, which will serve as a library, meeting space, and Communications Art Department for the University. R+B provided structural engineering services for this new 80,000 sf iconic building project. The new library contains an Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASARS) to manage the storage and delivery of books to students.  Featuring an extensive exterior glass curtainwall and a grand atrium, the building creates a signature building for the campus.
